The diverse consultation team of Māla Kalu‘ulu Cooperative engages in advising, design and planning services related to land management, agroforestry, environmental planning and monitoring, organizational structure design and cooperative business development. Previous engagements include landscape and farm design, cultural and historical assessment, indigenous crop management, permaculture and agroforestry installations, and ecosystem optimization.   • Dr. Noa Kekuewa Lincoln

    Indigenous Agroecology Expert

    Dr. Lincolnʻs work is grounded in indigenous land management, which he has engaged with around the Pacific and North and South America. He received degrees from Stanford, Yale, and Canterbury Universities. He is a certified arborist with over 25 years experience in natural resource management and monitoring.

  • Dana Shapiro

    Cooperative Development Specialist


    Dana was born on a rural kibbutz in Northern Israel and studied natural resource management at Cornell University and cooperative development at Ben Gurion University. She has helped established multiple cooperative organizations including Māla Kaluʻulu, and led the Hawaiʻi ʻUlu Producers Cooperative since its inception.

    Agroforestry Design and Implementation

    Anissa has conducted a broad range of work around agroforestry design, installation, maintenance, logistics, food safety, and social media education.

  • Eli Ednie

    TROPICAL BOTANY EXPERT
    Eli has two decades of experience working with tropical fruits from around the Pacific rim, with a specific interest in Artocarpus and other rare tropical fruit families. His keen and tireless observation has led to his photographs and work being published in high impact journals such as Nature.

  • Sahar Sadeghi

    LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE
    Sahar has obtained her masters degree in landscape architecture and worked on several consultation projects related to landscape design and management. She has supported organization in their approval processed with government agencies
